Financial Assistance
Iqra Islamic School is committed to making education accessible through a robust
program of financial assistance, including bursaries and entrance merit scholarships. Our
aim is to support as many families as possible in financing their education at Iqra, from
Nursery to Grade 10.
Last year, Iqra provided over $400,000 of financial aid. This assistance helps ensure that
all qualified students have the opportunity to attend our school, regardless of their
family's financial situation.
Financial Assistance (Bursaries)
- Responsibility: The primary responsibility for tuition and fees lies with the student's family.
- Eligibility: Financial assistance is available to students who qualify for admission and whose families demonstrate financial need.
- Application Process: Applications for financial aid are processed on a case-by-case basis. The financial aid application is separate from the admissions application and must be completed after the application form is complete.
- Deadlines: Financial assistance applications must be submitted within 10 business days after completing the application form.
- Expectations: While academic excellence is not a prerequisite for financial aid, recipients are expected to maintain good academic standing and contribute positively to the school community.
- Renewal: Financial aid is not automatically renewed; families need to reapply each year.
- Award Format: Assistance is provided as a reduction in tuition and fees, rather than cash.
- Confidentiality: All financial assistance applications are kept strictly confidential.
How to Apply for Financial Assistance
-
Interested families should indicate they are applying for financial aid on the application
form. A member of the Admissions team will assist with applying for financial aid.
