Environment
Our classrooms provide a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere where children are motivated to learn. Children are provided with a variety of play areas for learning and development, such as a building blocks space, where children develop numeracy and decision–making skills through the use of building blocks, a gym where children practice balance and coordination, and an art space where children expand their creativity and increase their self–esteem.
Day–to–day activities that children participate in are built around encouraging children to learn to take turns and share materials, develop new friendships, become self–reliant, cooperate with others, increase attention span, and develop self–esteem.
IQRA Islamic School’s Early Years Programme (Playgroup, Preschool, and Kindergarten) is designed to provide a safe, joyful, and engaging environment where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Our programme focuses on nurturing young learners academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while building a strong Islamic foundation.
Child-Centered Learning Approach
We follow a modern, inquiry-based learning system that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking. Through hands-on activities and interactive lessons, students actively participate in their learning journey rather than simply memorizing information.
Holistic Development Focus
Our programme is carefully structured to support overall child development, including:
Literacy Skills – Developing reading, writing, speaking, and communication abilities.
Numeracy Skills – Building strong foundations in mathematics through fun and practical activities.
Creative Exploration – Encouraging imagination through art, storytelling, and problem-solving tasks.
Islamic Studies & Moral Values – Instilling strong character, ethics, and Islamic teachings.
Language Development – Enhancing English communication and basic language skills.
Outdoor Learning & Play – Promoting physical health, teamwork, and social interaction.
Learning Through Themes
Students learn through engaging thematic units that help them understand themselves, their environment, and the world around them. These themes are designed to gradually build knowledge, life skills, and confidence as children progress to higher grades.
Preparing Lifelong Learners
Our Early Years Programme aims to develop confident, responsible, and curious learners who are well-prepared for future academic success while maintaining strong Islamic values and positive character.
