Are the academic teachers at Kaneko Canadian International School qualified?

Yes, all of our academic teachers are qualified.

Do you teach Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and/or Arabic?

Yes, we teach all of them! However, we are only allowed a certain amount of time every day to teach extra-curricular subjects. As such, we alternate between Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and Arabic throughout the week.

Will my child be able to attend high school after graduating from Grade 8 at Kaneko Canadian International School?

Yes. Students who graduate from any grade transfer to various public/private high schoolsacross Canada. including our Iqra Islamic School Canada.

What kind of support do you offer?

All customers receive access to start-up guides, documentation, community forums, and help desk via the Learn Dash Support site. Please see our Support Policy for additional details.

In which grades does Kaneko Canadian International School admit new students?

We’re always on the lookout for new talent. We try to admit new students across all grades every year. However, due to a large volume of applications, we are not able to accommodate all applicants. We encourage parents to start the application process as early as possible. Most grades are full by the time the summer rolls in.

What are the hours of the school day?

Qur’an, and Arabic Class: 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Play Group to Grades 1–7 : 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Saturday through Friday, excluding holidays)

Do you offer Karate classes as part of your extracurricular activities?

At KCIS, we offer Karate classes as an exciting extracurricular activity. It helps students build discipline, confidence, focus, and physical fitness in a fun and structured environment guided by experienced instructors.

What grade will my child be in?

Do you admit students during the middle of the school year?

We do not accept mid-year transfers. However, special considerations may be given to students on a case-by-case basis.

What should I do if my child is not offered admission this year?

If your child is not offered admission, our admissions team will send out an email asking if you would like your child to be considered for the following school year. Should you choose to accept, all you need to do is respond to that email. You do not needto pay the application fee again, nor do you need to sign a new application form.

When is the deadline to apply?

Our admissions process is on a rolling basis, meaning there is no application deadline. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If the grade that your child is applying for is full, your child will be placed on a waiting list. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.

What happens if my child is waitlisted?

Depending on the capacity of your child’s classroom, your child may need to wait on the waiting list. Waiting time can vary depending on your child’s age, when you start the application process, the number of students on our waiting list, among others. Do you have a gym facility for kids?

Absolutely!
We provide a Kids Gym equipped with age-appropriate fitness equipment and activities. It’s a great way for students to stay active, improve coordination, and develop healthy exercise habits from an early age.

What does Kaneko Canadian International School envision for our children in terms of academics?

One of the goals here at Kaneko Canadian International School is to provide an opportunity for all of our students to pursue academic education while at the same time, learning more about our beautiful and peaceful religion. By offering  Islamic Studies curriculums in a single academic year, our students are able to work towards attending public/private high schools and eventually university.

Who teaches Qur’an at Kaneko Canadian International School?

We place a great importance on ensuring that our students are able to read the Holy Qur’an in the manner in which it was intended to be recited in. All of our Qur’an teachers are native Arabic speakers from various countries in the Bangladesh.
