Yes. IQRA admits students year-round across every grade from Nursery to Grade 12. Our new campus has grown our capacity to 1,000 students, so we currently have space available in most grades, one of the few schools in Winnipeg that does. We encourage families to apply early to secure a place.

Yes. IQRA is a co-educational school welcoming both boys and girls from Nursery to Grade 12, within a respectful, modest Islamic environment.

IQRA teaches the full Manitoba provincial curriculum, the same one used in Manitoba public schools, alongside a dedicated Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies program. Students receive a complete Canadian education rooted in Islamic values.

Yes. IQRA High School follows the Manitoba curriculum, and students graduate with the official Manitoba High School Diploma, the same provincially recognized credential awarded by every public high school in the province. Students earn the compulsory and optional credits set by Manitoba Education.

Yes. Because IQRA delivers the provincial curriculum, the credits students earn (for example English 40S or Pre-Calculus 40S) are the identical, provincially recognized Manitoba credits issued by any other school. They transfer between Manitoba schools and are recognized by colleges and universities in exactly the same way.

Not negatively, if anything, it helps. Since IQRA awards the standard Manitoba diploma and the same provincial credits, your child applies to universities and colleges on exactly the same footing as any other Manitoba graduate, and admissions offices assess the same courses and grades. Combined with small class sizes, strong character development and an Islam-centered environment, our students are well prepared for post-secondary study.

IQRA offers a complete journey from Nursery through Grade 12, including Manitoba's only Islamic high school. Programs are grouped into Early Years (Nursery–Grade 4), Middle Years (Grades 5–8) and Senior Years (Grades 9–12).

Yes. We provide Individual Education Plan (IEP) support and English as an Additional Language (EAL) support so every learner can thrive, and our small class sizes mean teachers truly know each child.

Every student learns Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies woven through the school week alongside the academic curriculum. Daily prayer, du'as and Islamic manners are a natural part of everyday school life.

Yes. Daily prayer is part of the school day, and students learn the Qur'an, du'as and Islamic character in an age-appropriate, nurturing way.

Yes. Door-to-door busing serves neighbourhoods right across Winnipeg, and even some communities beyond the city, through a trusted transportation partner. Students are picked up and dropped off right at home. See our Transportation page for coverage.

Learning is supported by modern technology: guided Apple iPad activities in the younger grades and a MacBook program in high school, along with our online learning management system for both classroom and home learning.
