I pray this message finds you in the best of health. It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce our school, Iqra School, to you. Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Allah (SWT), we are blessed with a wonderful community of parents who share a common collective concern about our children – how we can mould our children to become the leaders of tomorrow and meet his/her highest potential in academics and character, while at the same time protecting their Akhira by learning and practicing our Deen and embodying the peaceful virtues of Islam (such as kindness, honesty, respecting themselves, others and the environment, and forgiveness).

Being a certified teacher in both Canada and Japan, and at the same time being a mother of four children, I understand the important role that teachers and parents play in every child’s life.

Alhamdulillah, Iqra School is blessed with a highly educated and motivated advisory committee, consisting of professors and doctors who are active in our Muslim community.

We place great importance on the quality of education we deliver here at Iqra School. We employ experienced Manitoba-certified teachers for our academic programs, native Arabic speakers for our Qur’an and Arabic programs, and native French speakers for our French programs. Our Islamic Studies department is spearheaded by Sheikh Bilal Oweida, a scholar of Islamic Studies.

In sha’Allah, we will continue to improve our school through the addition of new programs, facilities, and opportunities, while prioritizing our students’ education and mannerisms. We humbly request you to keep our school in your Duʿāʾ.

Message from Director of Academics: Dr. Md. Rahidul Alam Mondol

Dear Muslim community of Winnipeg, Manitoba,

My name is Dr. Md. Rahidul Alam Mondol. I was born and graduated in Bangladesh. I went to Japan with my family for my higher education and completed my Ph.D. in Bioenvironment Engineering from Yamagata University, Japan in 2002. I have led research on pioneering agricultural machinery in Yamagata University. I then moved to Canada in 2003, with my wife and two children. I worked with the Department of Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba. Prior to joining Iqra School, I have accumulated valuable experience in Canada Revenue Agency. Additionally, I am registered as an EIT with APEGM (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba).

Beyond my academia and industry experience, I was blessed to serve as a president to the beautiful Bangladesh community in Manitoba (CBA) for 6 years. Alhamdulillah, with all my academic and industry experience, I have been blessed to join Iqra Islamic School Winnipeg as an Academic Director. It is my honour to use all my experience to utilize and serve the Muslim children in Manitoba. I would really like to see our Muslim new generation’s success in academic as well as Islamic moral and ethics. I pray to Allah (SWT) that my experience can be used for the betterment of the new generation. As the Academic Director, I work hard to make sure our school excels and helps students grow in all areas of life, promising a bright future for them and our community. I am dedicated to giving kids a good education and teaching them Islamic values.
