Application-related Questions

Please contact the admissions team via email (admissions@iqraschool.ca) to determine your child’s grade.

We do not accept mid-year transfers. However, special considerations may be given to students on a case-by-case basis.

If your child is not offered admission, our admissions team will send out an email asking if you would like your child to be considered for the following school year. Should you choose to accept, all you need to do is respond to that email. You do not needto pay the application fee again, nor do you need to sign a new application form.

Our admissions process is on a rolling basis, meaning there is no application deadline. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If the grade that your child is applying for is full, your child will be placed on a waiting list. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.

Depending on the capacity of your child’s classroom, your child may need to wait on the waiting list. Waiting time can vary depending on your child’s age, when you start the application process, the number of students on our waiting list, among others. We encourage you to contact our admissions team via email (admissions@iqraschool.ca) for more information.

Miscellaneous Questions:

One of the goals here at Iqra School is to provide an opportunity for all of our students to pursue academic education while at the same time, learning more about our beautiful and peaceful religion. By offering both the Manitoba & Islamic Studies curriculums in a single academic year, our students are able to work towards attending public/private high schools and eventually university.

We place a great importance on ensuring that our students are able to read the Holy Qur’an in the manner in which it was intended to be recited in. All of our Qur’an teachers are native Arabic speakers from various countries in the Middle East.
